Terms of Use

Last updated 29 September 2026

These terms apply when you use Brewki, the website and app at brewki.app and, later, the iPhone app. Brewki is run by Rodrigo Sousa, an individual based in Portugal (“we”). By creating an account or using Brewki, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

An early version

Brewki is free and still in an early, soft-launch stage. Features will change, some things will break, and we may pause or stop the service. We'll try to give notice before any big change, and you can always delete your account.

Your account

  • You need to be at least 13 years old.
  • Use your own email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if someone else gets into your account.
  • One account per person. Don't pretend to be someone else, or a roaster or café you don't represent.

What you post

You own your brews, photos, notes and comments. So that Brewki can work, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, show, resize and share that content inside Brewki, for as long as it's on the app. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

Coffees, cafés, gear, accessories and recipes you add to the shared catalogue are there for everyone. They stay on Brewki, without your name, if you delete your account, and others can correct them.

Only post photos and text you have the right to share.

Community rules

Don't use Brewki to:

  • post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, or that exposes someone's private information;
  • spam, advertise without saying so, or post fake brews and ratings (including for your own coffee or café);
  • copy other people's photos or content without permission;
  • scrape the app, overload it, get around its security, or misuse the bag scanner;
  • break the law or anyone else's rights.

We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. If you see something that shouldn't be there, email hello@rodrigo-sousa.com.

Roaster and café pages

Some roaster and café pages are created from public information so people can log the coffees they buy and drink. If one of them is yours, you can claim it from its page. If something on it is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it or take it down.

Brewing advice

Recipes, grind settings, ratings and tasting notes come from the community and from AI reading bag labels. They can be wrong. Treat them as a starting point, check scanned details against the bag, and take care with hot water and equipment. Links to shops and other sites are provided as is; we don't control them.

Responsibility

We provide Brewki as it is and as available, and we can't promise it will always be accurate, online or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or for content posted by others. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Portuguese or EU law.

Leaving

You can stop using Brewki at any time and delete your account from Settings → Delete account. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they apply. These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you live in the EU, you can also rely on the consumer protections and courts of your own country.
